Acts as a travel agent for cargo. They do not own the ships or planes, but they negotiate rates with carriers (Vessel Operating Common Carriers) and arrange the logistics chain from door to port to door.
The Customs Broker
A highly regulated, licensed professional authorized to act on behalf of importers to transact customs business. They classify goods, file entries, pay duties, and manage the legal interface with border agencies.
